IntroductionRules of PracticeLegislation: Subsection 176(2) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (‘the RTA’) Subsection 176(2) of the RTA requires the Board to “adopt rules of practice and procedure” governing its practice and procedure, as permitted by section 25.1 of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act. Subsection 176(5) states that the Board must make its rules available to the public. Section 25.1 of the SPPA provides that “a tribunal may make rules governing the practice and procedure before it”.
