Redacted Orders

ATTENTION:

The Landlord and Tenant Board’s website is undergoing a maintenance process that will be completed in late August, 2009. Until this time, additional redacted orders cannot be posted on the website. Posting of redacted orders will resume in early Fall.

What is a redacted order?

A redacted order is an order from which information has been removed to protect the privacy of the individuals named in the order.  The Board’s redacted orders comply with the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

What orders are in this section?

Only orders where the application has been ‘contested’ have been redacted. The Board considers an application to have been contested if someone from each side attends the hearing to present their case.

If only one party or their representative attends the hearing and there is no one there to present the case for the other side, the Board considers the application to be ‘uncontested’. Orders from uncontested applications have not been redacted, and are not included on this site.

In this section you will also find:

  • Review Orders
  • Decisions where the Review has been Denied
  • Above Guideline Increase orders, and
  • orders resulting from Applications to Vary the Amount of a Rent Reduction.

How do I navigate this section?

The redacted orders have been organized by application type, month of issue, and region. Starting from this page, you can choose the application type that you wish to view. You can then select the year and month in which the order was issued.

Once you have selected the year and month, you can choose the region that you wish to view.
