Steps to apply

If a landlord and a tenant have a problem with their tenancy they may be able to resolve it on their own or, they may choose to file an application with the Board. 

This section gives you basic information about the different steps in the application process.  There are 4 steps in this section:

Step 1: Choosing an Application

This section provides information to help you decide whether you want to file an application with the Board.  It also provides a link to the different reasons an application can be filed.

Step 2: Filing an Application

This section provides information about what happens when you file an application with the Board.  It also tells you how to let the other person named in the application know that an application has been filed.

Step 3: The Hearing

This section provides information about who should go to the hearing, the different types of hearings, and the possibility of resolving the application through mediation.

Step 4: The Order

The Board’s decision about the application is called an order. This section provides information about the different types of orders that may be issued and when an order may be changed.
