Ieva Martin

Ieva Martin served as Chair of the Board of Referees, the Appeal Tribunal for the Employment (formerly Unemployment) Insurance Commission, from 1995 to 2004.  Prior to that she was a small business owner and a member of the Board of the Clarkson Business Improvement Association.  Amongst many volunteer activities she has served as President of the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre and of her local residents’ association.  Ieva Martin obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) in French and Canadian Studies from the University of Toronto.  She also studied Science at McGill University.
