Members of the BoardMembers of the Board are adjudicators. They make decisions on applications filed under the Residential Tenancies Act. Once appointed, a new Member completes a rigorous training program that focuses on the Residential Tenancies Act, other related laws, and the hearing process so that they can properly perform their duties. Because Members must be impartial, they cannot have any contact with the landlord and tenant parties to an application, or an agent for any of them, except in an open hearing where all parties can be present.
